My Goal for the Blog
Ok...well I'm not going to "homeschool" for kindergarden and up but I also don't think "pre-school" is something we need. So... I am preparing my child for kindergarden at home. I call it home pre-school (creative I know).
I would like to help other moms doing the same and hopefully create a "village" of moms who are doing this so we can all help each other and create outings etc... Now my kids are 2 1/2 and 4 so I am trying to make my activies range for those ages - there will be different options availble on most days :). Example Kyler is still working on 2 where as Kaden is working on 20 so "2 day" works on both. There will be easy pages and harder worksheets.
I will post our monthly themes, any pre-kindergarden info that I find. I do only 3 days of themes a week. I like to leave days open for grocery shopping etc... I would love any and all reponses that anybody cares to share.
***Update*** I have stopped posting the everyday lessons, just becuase that's a lot of time. But the themes are listed below in the monthly calendar. If you want more info on a specific day or theme just let me know, I would be happy to share :)

Nature Rubbings
We have all done this simple art project at one time or another. Share the memory with your child and enjoy the wonderful fall leaves!
Materials: piece of paper, assortment of leaves, pine needles, twigs, crayons (if you have old broken crayons, peel off the wrappers and they will work great)
To make your nature rubbing:
Arrange the leaves, pine needles and twigs that you have collected on the table.
Place another piece of paper over your arrangement
Use the side of your crayons to rub over the entire paper.
As you rub, you will see the outlines of your items appear like magic!
As a bonus, have your child add a caption to each rubbing telling the type of leaf, needle, etc.
Make a indoor terrarium very easy.
Or buy one
Wal-Mart has green house type planters in their garden section for $5.
